The advertising campaigns hype up Malaysia as being ‘Truly Asia’. One step into this fascinating country is enough to tell you that it was no exaggeration. Malaysia, described as being two countries in one, divided by the South China Sea, boasts of the bustling cities, colonial architecture, quaint little villages, misty tea plantations as well as wild jungles of orangutans, granite peaks and remote, secret tribes which have been long cut off from civilization. One of the most ethnically diverse countries in South East Asia, Malaysia’s population, culture and customs give you a sneak peek into all things Asian.
Malaysia is a mix of the modern world as well as a developing nation. For travellers, this means world class infrastructure and amenities, while not being hard on the wallet. Tourists visiting Malaysia are often at a loss as to how to accommodate everything the country has in store: from deep sea diving, to jungle adventures, to taking selfies at the Petronas Towers, Malaysia has something for families, for the solo travellers and for adventure seekers looking for their next adrenaline rush.
